More Than Reproduction | 5 - 16 March 2020 | Gaffa Gallery, Sydney

Edition One marked More Than Reproduction’s 1 year anniversary as an operating collective, and overlaped with International Women's Day. Accordingly, this exhibition hosted exclusively female-identifying artists, and sought to facilitate the diversity of contemporary printmaking practice - a medium that is often male-dominated. Edition One was a multifarious collection of etching, linocut, lithography, and serigraphy; corroborating the versatility of print-related media and its function in both focused, and cross-disciplinary practices. Whilst nuancing femininity, each artist differed in pictorial exploration, resulting in juxtaposed imageries and substrates, to exemplify a diverse sensibility towards printmaking methodologies and applications; the diversity of diversity.
